Carbon Trust Implementation Scheme
The Carbon Trust has recently launched its new supplier accreditation scheme.
The Carbon Trust Implementation scheme is designed to help UK businesses reduce their energy costs by installing greener, more efficient technology.
The scheme aims to offer customers an independent and impartial evaluation of the most energy efficient and renewable solutions for their organisation and match them with accredited suppliers to carry out the work. Chalmor has recently become an accredited supplier for Lighting and controls.
The move comes after a survey conducted by the Carbon Trust found that 76 per cent of companies are more concerned than they were six months ago by rising energy costs and are very concerned by its impact on their business.
Eddie Taylor, chief executive at the Lighting Industry Association, said: “With companies predicting double-digit rises in energy prices over the next three years, investments in quality lighting solutions incorporating energy efficient lamps and luminaires (including LED technology) and lighting controls can deliver high returns very quickly. Carbon Trust Implementation Services’ new offering potentially removes some of the practical barriers preventing end users taking advantage of these gains and will help quality providers of these services stand out.”
