Heating Controller CAT 4

CAT4 is a simple to use powerful low cost heating controller designed to offer the energy saving features of Building Management Systems but at a justifiable price for medium and smaller buildings.

CAT4 is designed to provide an “all in one” control solution for new heating schemes as well as a cost effective up grade option for retrofitting to existing systems. CAT4 is suitable for all types of heating control including electric, warm air, radiant and wet heating systems etc.

Energy saving features include: Advanced boiler control with load scheduling to maximise efficiency by adjusting boiler firing pattern to suit load conditions and ambient temperature and prevent “dry cycling”.

Self adaptive optimum start and stop facility for 2 zones to automatically adjust operating times in accordance with prevailing conditions and speed of plant response and the building temperature characteristics.

Weather compensation with option to control a mixing heating valve or direct boiler compensation.

Single or dual zone heating control with independent time and temperature control for each zone – 3 on/offs per day per channel.

Independent HWS/domestic hot water time and temperature control with facility for hot water “boost” to combat legionella.

Hours run monitoring facility to record boiler run times that can be used as a savings monitor as well as a “service” alert that shows when heating service due.

Occupancy set back mode for fast recovery systems to automatically reduce heating when areas are vacated. Single or dual zone control – requires a CAT/PIR occupancy/set back sensor per zone. Suitable for electric, radiant and warm air heating systems.

Tamperproof – all programme settings are password protected.

Battery back up to ensure programmes are preserved in the event of a mains failure.

Easy to set intuitive programme.

6 Temperature Sensors for external, boiler fl ow, boiler return, HWS and 2 room sensors.

Mixing valve control option (0–10v output).

7 Relay outputs for boiler, hot water, secondary pump, Zone 1 heating + pump, Zone 2 heating + pump.

Multi stage frost protection.
