Research supported by the Petrol Retailers Association shows that typical petrol forecourts using 10 standard 400W canopy lights can save nearly £2000 a year on energy costs alone by upgrading to Chalmor’s 150W long-life Endurance luminaires linked to simple lighting controls. Further savings are achieved through reduced maintenance requirements, as Endurance luminaires provide a life of 60,000 hours before the lamps need to be replaced, without any loss of light output during that time. Golden Fleece Carlisle
Golden Fleece: Forecourt lighting at the Golden Fleece 24 hour station in Carlisle was using nine 250W and 16 x 450W lamps, costing £4,499 a year to run 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
