Astra Zeneca: The safety of operatives working in plant rooms has been greatly enhanced following installation of BlueWave 2-channel controllers in some 37 plant rooms. When operatives are working behind items of plant, they may not be detected by occupancy controllers so the lighting may be switched off. BlueWave allows half of the lighting to be switched initially, with an audible warning as well, so the engineer can re-activate the lighting by pressing an override switch. Products used:BlueWave

Endurance
Endurance is a virtually maintenance-free energy efficient fitting with a high output of bright white light, offering useful lamp life of 60,000 hours, backed by a 5-year guarantee. It is ideal for applications where low-bay luminaires would typically be used, particularly where access is difficult or disruptive.

EasiFit T5
The new EasiFit T5 kit from Chalmor provides a fast and cost effective way to upgrade existing light fittings equipped with T8 lamps to longer-lasting, more efficient, higher output T5 lamps. It takes around 5 minutes to install, without specialised electrical skills, and provides a typical payback of less than one year.

Brilliance
Brilliance and Brilliance Ultra are high output, long life, energy efficient light fittings offering low maintenance with operating lives of 20,000 and 48,000 hours respectively before re-lamping is required.

BlueWave
BlueWave is a 2-channel lighting controller, with each channel able to operate independently, controlling lighting in relation to occupancy and light levels. It also features temporary manual override and the option of 2-stage control, with the ability to link up to 6 sensors to each channel.
