ReNew T5 provides a customised solution to improve lighting performance and energy consumption without the disruption and cost of installing new fittings – with the potential to cut carbon emissions by as much as 60%.
Ideal for upgrading installations currently using T8 and T12 fluorescent tubes, ReNew T5 installations reduce energy consumption and provide enhanced flexibility making it easier to introduce advanced lighting controls to achieve even higher energy savings. A wide selection of lamps and control gear is available to improve colour rendering, increase lumen maintenance, boost energy efficiency and extend lamp life.
Flexibility is enhanced by the use of a variety of control gear, offering a number of key benefits: Firstly, twin fittings can still use two high efficiency lamps or can be converted to a single high output lamp of up to 80W, or twin lamp fittings can be configured to run with a single set of control gear, thus introducing further economies. Secondly, it enables light levels to be adjusted to current needs, rather than historical design parameters. ReNew T5 can even be specified with integral emergency packs.
Another major benefit of ReNew T5 is that it connects directly to the mains supply and no part of the old wiring system or circuitry is re-used. Therefore fittings can be safely upgraded, in most instances no internal wiring or component changes are required. ReNew T5 conforms to all the latest standards, including CE marking.
Upgrading to T5 light sources also provides substantially longer lamp life – typically more than 3 times that of T8 lamps so extending re-lamping intervals and reducing maintenance costs, as well as minimising working at height and lamp disposal requirements in line with the WEEE Directive.
Additionally, T5 lamps lose only around 5% of their light output over their long life, compared to up to 20% for a T8 lamp.
