Chalmor recently entered two categories in the Energy Management and

Innovation in Lighting Award Scheme (
EMILAS) 2010. We are pleased to
announce both entries won!
Our Bedford International Athletics Stadium project was Overall Winner in the Sports Lighting category. This is the second consecutive year we have won this award, in 2009 Chalmor won with a project for Nottingham City Council.
Finally our University of Bedfordshire Project was overall winner in the
Lumicom and Recolight Recycling Award, which was judged across all
six award catergories.
About the Awards
EMILAS has been established by LIF to encourage the earlier refurbishment of existing lighting installations by recognising - and awarding - those lighting schemes showing proven energy savings,
with a minimum level of 20% improvement over the installation being replaced. Projects must also demonstrate they comply with current Standards for lighting scheme design and installation, show flexibility of usage, and are innovative.
